Great Wall at Mutianyu

The Mutianyu section of the Great Wall of China is one of the most well-preserved and scenic parts of this iconic landmark. Located about 70 kilometers (43 miles) northeast of Beijing, it offers a less crowded alternative to the more famous Badaling section. Originally built during the Northern Qi Dynasty (550–577 AD) and later restored during the Ming Dynasty, Mutianyu features impressive watchtowers, lush forested surroundings, and breathtaking panoramic views.
